Lomond Challenge

This is an unique event open to all schools in Scotland, it is a
triathlon open to all teams consisting of two competitors who can be
of the same sex or mixed. Pupils in
S4, S5 or S6 (2009/10) are eligible to take part.

| The Event Based at Firkin Point on the
west side of Loch Lomond facing Ben Lomond this is a spectacular
setting for a sporting event.
Teams of two compete for
overall prize in each of the male, female or mixed teams’ categories.
In addition there is a team prize for the school with the highest
three finishing couples.
The event commences with a Canadian canoe leg of
1.7 miles
which is a mass start at Firkin Point. On the completion of this the
competitors will cycle back to Firkin Point on the cycle
track (1.7 miles). Transferring from the bike to the run at
Firkin Point an out and back leg of 3.4 miles completes the event.
